Hey Spear what exactly is wrong with car? What is it doing that makes you think this?It may not be dead..For example even if you blew a head gasket it can be fixed..The only way I'd say dead may be if the tranny was completely shot only because
it is a bitch to replace on own without a full garage..Those tran businesses are nothing but ripoffs..I myself have a Saturn with very high miles and there has been a couple times I thought it was dead but it has common problems that make you think that and it may not be the case..You put too much time/effort in that car to give up..Go to that site I posted earlier-every thing is in there..

I think I read that his engine oil was slowly leaking which most likely means his engine has seized. If you buy another car get anything but a civic or a corolla... please...

You know your engine is dead for good when the pistons fuse to the cylinders...

If the Tech F'd up they should be liable to fix your car.

I think it would be kinda hard to prove it was their fault. Plus they'll do anything in their power to weasel their way out of having to pay for a new engine.

Exactly, they're telling me my car was old (apparently a 2001 is old) so I should've been checking it for leaks regularly.
